Total and Complete Relaxation

We spent last week at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua in Maui.  Paul was participating in the Hyundai Pro-Am Tournament of Champions at Kapalua.  Yeah, it was a tough gig (maybe for him, but certainly not for me)!    He had never done this before, so it was an exciting experience for him.  I was actually just along for the moral support.  :)

On Wednesday they played a round of golf, you know loosen up kinda thing...that evening, they had a "Draw Party" and dinner where the team finds out which Pro you're going to play with the following day.  Then the next day you and your team of 3 get to play a round of golf with your Pro.  He interacts with you and provides you tips, etc. all in a Pro Tourney environment...Fun huh?   Chance of a lifetime!  To play with a Pro, in a tournament filled with champions ~ WOW, but small kine intimidating as well.

But on my side of the ticket, there was no stress whatsoever!  I was determined to bring in the New Year STRESS FREE ... both Paul and I bought books, not iPad versions ~ hardcover books...we wanted to physically "turn the pages" on the book.  It was our goal to finish the book during the course of the week.  (We hardly have time to sit and read.)  It was definitely going to be a week of Relaxation and Reflection for me.

Long story short...Paul enjoyed the tournament...we both finished our books...I managed to get in a massage (belated Christmas/birthday present ~ thank you!)...walked every day we were there...spent time with some great people...ate a lot of good food...drank some fine wine...had a lot of quality ME time!

Resolutions?  Live each day with a sense of gratitude...love those around me fully...listen with my ears and my heart...laugh soundly...hug freely..."be there".  OH!!!  I almost forgot ... craft more!  (Because of my busy schedule in 2013, I wasn't able to craft as much...HOWEVER, I will most definitely will be crafting more in 2014!)  What about you? :)

  Happy New Year!!!  Happy Crafting!!!
